'EXTREME MAKEOVER' TO THE RESCUE... AGAIN! |
|
The Extreme Makeover Home Edition Design Team and their talented crew came to Horry County in January to build a well-deserved home for the family of Derek and Amanda Suggs. The family lives in Loris where Derek is an award-winning police officer and they are raising Amanda’s 4 younger brothers, ages 5 through 19, and their first son, 9-month old Walker. The Extreme Makeover Team built the Suggs a beautiful house in seven very busy days and the Divine Dining Group provided pizza for the hungry crew and workers on one of the nights during this unbelievable event.
Not only did the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Team build a new home for this family, but along with the help of the United Way and Sterling Homes, they also organized an enormous canned food drive to benefit thousands of underprivileged families across Horry County. All of the Divine Dining Group restaurants as well as various other local businesses served as drop off points for the donated canned food, with Wal-Mart serving as the main headquarters. The Extreme Canned Food Drive raised 100.1 tons of canned food and we thank all of our restaurants and the other businesses who participated in this project!
