GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, responsible for the efficient and courteous service of guests. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years old (21 to open and pour alcoholic beverages) and have at least 1 year of restaurant experience. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Must be able to attend all regularly scheduled meetings. Must be able to speak clear and concise English. Must very enthusiastically support the theme of the restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Completes all opening and closing procedures.
2) Attentive and sensitive to guests’ needs.
3) Greets all guests and ensures guest satisfaction.
4) Verifies age for alcoholic drink orders and ensures enforcement of alcohol policies.
5) Completely familiar with menu in its entirety.
6) Conducts themselves in a professional and mature manner.
7) Pre-buses tables and buses tables.
8) Ensures all side areas, service areas, and counters are kept in a neat and orderly fashion and sets up server station.
9) Records all items served on proper guest check and charges guest accordingly.
10) Responsible for proper table maintenance.
11) Performs suggestive selling activities.
12) Maintains friendly, understanding attitude with all Employees.
13) Responsible for all self-banking funds and has knowledge of cash handling procedures.
14) Ensures station, as well as entire restaurant, is always clean.
15) Has knowledge of and recommends all company properties.
16) Must have outgoing personality and good communication skills.
17) Appears clean groomed and well dressed at all times.
18) Familiarity with company history, other company restaurants, and basic employee policy.
19) Understanding of the dress code and obtaining a suitable uniform.
20) Ability to use the POS computer system for all computer entries.
21) Understands company’s customer service goals.
22) Memorizes table numbers and seating layout.
23) Knowledge of proper customer timing and service time minimums.
24) Possesses knowledge of credit card and check policies.
25) Understands promotional discounts and how to enter in computer.
26) Acts as quality control person by always checking food.
27) Assists with phone orders, counter, delivery and carryout orders.
28) Keeps restrooms stocked and clean.
29) Any other duty as requested by management on an as-needed basis.
30) Ability to demonstrate familiarity with company history, other Divine Dining Group restaurants, and basic employee policy.
31) Knowledge and adherence of privacy laws dealing with identity theft.
32) Successfully completes training program with testing as required.
33) Works schedule as required by restaurant.
