Delivery Driver

JOB TITLE:  DELIVERY DRIVER

REPORTS TO: General Manager / Senior Management 

HAS REPORTING: N/A

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, responsible for the efficient operation of all delivery practices. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid motor vehicle operators license and a good driving record as per company policy. Must be able to provide a good dependable vehicle with current proof of insurance for vehicle. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Must be able to attend all regularly scheduled meetings. Must very enthusiastically support the theme of the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1) Ensures safe driving and delivery practices.
2) Maintains delivery vehicle in proper and safe working order.
3) Uses car-top signs and magnets, if applicable.
4) Ability to demonstrate familiarity with company history, other Divine Dining restaurants and basic employee policy.
5) Understands the dress code and obtains a suitable uniform.
6) Utilizes a pleasant disposition while interacting with customers.
7) Understands the company’s customer service goals and standards. 
8) Has a complete knowledge and recognition of all menu items and offerings.
9) Has ability to describe menu items and accurately package food items.
10) Offers a good presentation of the food order to customers.
11) Helps with daily food preparation.
12) Ability to use the POS computer system for all order entries and dispatching of orders.
13) Responsible for properly taking phone orders for carry out and delivery.
14) Possesses good knowledge of the local delivery area and streets.
15) Performs proper timing for good customer service and delivery time minimums.
16) Completes all duties for preparation and side work.
17) Practices correct credit card and check policies.
18) Possesses the knowledge of all safety and cash handling procedures.
19) Responsible for handling large sums of money.
20) Arrives to work on time and ready to work.
21) Cleans all dishes, pots and pans.
22) Responsible for cleaning items in Kitchen.
23) Performs quality control of all food and orders.
24) Busses tables when necessary.
25) Any other duty as requested by management on an as-needed basis.
26) Knowledge and adherence of privacy laws dealing with identity theft.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

      1)   May perform other duties as necessary.

Must be proficient with all food handling equipment used.
